I ran into this problem when I went to Colorado to visit a friend. They lived in the valley were it was over 500 feet above sea level. My friend had a chart on there refrigerator to convert baking recipes. We had to adjust the amount of water and temperature for making bread.
I have found these web pages to be a good reference.
