Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 300F (149C)
  • Add powdered sugar, walnuts, and dates to egg yolks.
  • Add bread crumbs and baking powder to yolk mixture.
  • Mix well.
  • Stiffly beat egg whites and add to yolk mixture.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Serve with whipped cream.

    I am thinking, a LARGE ramekin would be what you want to bake this in. Maybe like a mini souffle. I am going to give it a try. I just love old recipes, the older the better!!! Thank you for the share!

    I would guess since most puff are put in baking sheet or square pan that would be the way to go

    The recipe assumes we know what container to bake it in. I don't know much about cooking during the 30s so if anyone knows what this would have been baked in can you leave a comment?
