CORN AND SAUSAGE CHOWDER

- 1 pound mild bulk sausage shopping list
- 1 large onion, chopped shopping list
- 3 large potatoes, peeled and cubed shopping list
- 2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- ½ teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried basil shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 2 cups cream style corn shopping list
- 2 cups whole kernel corn shopping list
- 1 12-ounce can evaporated milk shopping list
How to make it
- Crumble sausage into pieces and brown in skillet.
- Remove sausage from skillet leaving drippings; place sausage in large pot.
- Sauté onions in the sausage drippings. Add onions, potatoes, salt, pepper, basil and water to the cooked sausage.
- Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in corn and evaporated milk.
- Cover and heat thoroughly.
- I use sweet mild Italian sausage and remove the casings and crumble and brown.
