Grilled Sirlion Steak With Chimichurri Marinade

- 4 sirlion steaks thick cut. shopping list
- 2 cups extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 4 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme shopping list
- 4 table spoons fresh rosemary shopping list
- 4 tablespoons chopped flatleaf parsley shopping list
- 4 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano shopping list
- 2 chipotle chilis in adope sauce chopped shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sweet spanish paprika shopping list
- 6 cloves garic finely chopped shopping list
- 1 teaspoon seasalt shopping list
- 6 tablespoons red wine vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oil in a sauce pan till hot, remove from heat and set aside.
- add all ingredients (except beef),stir, and leave for an hour at room temperature to cool and infuse for one hour.
- in a long/wide dish pour half of the marinade,add the steaks and turning several times to coat. save the rest of the marinake to use wirh the steaks. cover steaks and put in fridge for one hours. take out of fridge and leave them at room temperature for 30 minutes
- preheat grill till hot.....grill steak for 2 minutes on each side for medium rare. take them off the grill .and place steak on chopping board.loosely cover with coil for about 5 minutes.,before you slice them against the grain....serve with the remaining marinade
- ENJOY THESE STEAKS WITH CHILEAN CARMENERE OR SOUTH AFRICAN PINOTAGE
