Breakfast In An Orange Recipe
Fun "egg a la orange" and a muffin too! Food to take camping and no dirty pots and pans! from the Albuquerque Tribune July, 1979

Ingredients
  • 1 orange
  • 1 egg
  • muffin mix (Jiffy makes 6 muffins)
  • 1 egg and 1/4 cup milk

Directions
  1. For each serving, cut the orange in half. Without tearing the orange peel, remove the orange sections from each half. save the orange sections. In the first orange shell half, drop in the egg. The 2nd shell is filled with muffin batter. Wrap the 2 filled orange shells together in a piece of foil, about 10 inches.square. Bring the four corners together, and twist the foil closed, making sure to leave room for the muffin's rising, and is closed securely. Place on the coals and let it cook about 15 minutes.
  2. When done, serve the egg, muffin and the fresh orange sections!
