This is just an idea of mine I want to throw out there for all of you onion freaks!
Ingredients
- onions shopping list
- Old Clean Panty Hose shopping list
How to make it
- Hey! I know this may sound strange...
- I love onions and I get them from others sometimes in large amounts.
- I need to keep them fresh and I do that by dropping and onion into a leg and tying a knot, then another onion, and a knot.
- You get the idea.
- Then I hang them up, yes by the crouch, lol!
- When I need an onion I cut one or two out, try to keep the sides even.
- They do not spoil this way because air is all around them and them are not touching.
- This is the concept of braiding the ends together but into days age we do not get the ends at the store.
- My Grandma taught me this little trick....
- Hanging in the basement is best, but in my case the kitchen and hall way will have to do!!!!
- When i was in my 20's I sent this idea into Mother Earth News and they printed it.
- I got a free year of the magazine for the idea!
- I was so excited!!!!
