This is just an idea of mine I want to throw out there for all of you onion freaks!

  • Onions
  • Old Clean Panty Hose

Directions
  1. Hey! I know this may sound strange...
  2. I love onions and I get them from others sometimes in large amounts.
  3. I need to keep them fresh and I do that by dropping and onion into a leg and tying a knot, then another onion, and a knot.
  4. You get the idea.
  5. Then I hang them up, yes by the crouch, lol!
  6. When I need an onion I cut one or two out, try to keep the sides even.
  7. They do not spoil this way because air is all around them and them are not touching.
  8. This is the concept of braiding the ends together but into days age we do not get the ends at the store.
  9. My Grandma taught me this little trick....
  10. Hanging in the basement is best, but in my case the kitchen and hall way will have to do!!!!
  11. When i was in my 20's I sent this idea into Mother Earth News and they printed it.
  12. I got a free year of the magazine for the idea!
  13. I was so excited!!!!
