Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a non stick skillet saute in butter the escargot and garlic just until the escargot begin to shrink a bit
  • Spoon some of the butter from the pan to greased the pizza pan
  • remove escargot from pan and set aside
  • Cook mushrooms in remaining butter with garlic and butter
  • Spread pizza dough on pan, top with sauce as desired
  • Sprinkle on the diced tomato and cover with cheeses and then top with mushroom
  • Add the escargot
  • Bake in a 375 oven until crust turns brown around the edges
  • Note: enjoy with a good dark beer and eat it all before someone comes home and horns in on it!!!

    Thanks, I did miss putting it in~ so i edited it!!
    You did guess right, dough then sauce etc! Like your suggestion as another sauce would be great too!

    Where does the marinara sauce come in? Im assuming you spread it on the pizza but it looks like you missed a step in your instructions. ;) I bet this would be really yummy with a garlicky bechamel in place of the marinara and spread on the pizza crust before the toppings go on.

    Is it weird that I think this sounds really awesome? LOL. But then again, i quite like escargot...

    I got to taste a Escargot and Butter Clam pizza at the Pizza Cook off in Birmingham Al. It was really good, but at $16.95 a can I'll need a really good reason to throw them on a pizza.
