Bacon Tossed Brussels Sprouts

- 1 tablespoon plus 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 3 pints Brussels sprouts, stem ends trimmed shopping list
- --each halved lengthwise shopping list
- 8 strips thick-sliced bacon shopping list
- --cut crosswise into thin strips shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 3 tablespoons white-wine vinegar (3 to 4 tbsps) shopping list
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter shopping list
How to make it
- Fill 6-quart Dutch oven with water; add 1 Tbsp salt. Bring to a boil; add brussels sprouts. Reduce heat to medium; cook 12 minutes, until crisp-tender. Drain; rinse under cold water to stop cooking.
- In large nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook bacon 5 minutes until slightly crisp. Pour off fat. Add onion to bacon in skillet; cook 5 minutes, until tender. Add sprouts, remaining salt and the pepper; heat through. Add vinegar and butter; cook, stirring, to melt butter. Serve.
