Ingredients
  • 8'' sweet pie crust
  • 1 lb golden apples
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 teaspoons cinammon
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons calvados

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 375 deg f
  2. peel,quarter and cut apples into 1/8'' slices. toss apples with cinammon and 1/2 cup of sugar. arrange them in the pastry shell
  3. bake in the oven for 20 minutes. take it out and let it cool.. beat the egg and the rest of the sugar till it becomes pale yeloow. beat in the flour..then the cream and followed by the brandy.and pour the mixture over the apples. return to oven and bake for 10 minutes. . sprinkle some sugar on top and return to overn and bake for further 20 minutes. keep warm till ready to serve.....lovely with a scoop of nice and simple icecream
