Antipasto Cheese Pie Recipe

Antipasto Cheese Pie Recipe
This recipe comes from a Pillsbury recipe booklet that was a free give-away back in 1987. I have not made this particular recipe but it did look and sound so good that I had to share it.

Ingredients
  • 8 oz can Pillsbury Crescent Dinner Rolls
  • 6 oz part skim mozzarella
  • 1/2 green pepper, cut in julienne strips
  • 1/2 cup slice fresh mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp basil leaves, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp thyme leaves, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp parsley flakes
  • 1 medium tomato, cut into wedges
  • 6 thin salami slices
  • 6 pitted black olives

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Separate dough into 8 triangles and place in ungreased 9 or 10-inch pie plate; press firmly over bottom and up sides to form crust.
  3. Bake for 5 to7 minutes or until crust is lightly browned. (Crust will be puffy when removed from oven.)
  4. Sprinkle crust with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Arrange green pepper on top of cheese, around the edge of crust.
  6. Top with mushrooms, onions, Parmesan cheese, basil, thyme, and parsley flakes.
  7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until crust is golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven; top with tomato wedges, forming a pinwheel design.
  9. Bake an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
  10. Form salami into cones and arrange between tomato slices in a spoke-like pattern.
  11. Garnish with black olives.
