How to make it

  • Placed cooked cubed potatoes in a mixing bowl then set aside. Prepare dressing mix according to package directions then reserve one cup. Refrigerate remaining dressing for future use. In a mixing bowl combine dressing, potatoes, celery, onions, eggs, parsley, salt, black pepper and mustard. Mix well then fold mixture into potatoes in bowl. Cover and refrigerate several hours before serving.

    I will post some of the 1800's one here. I haven't posted a bunch of them because some of the ingredients are no longer avaibable or they are full of lard, which was a necessity in that time period. I have posted hundreds of them on the recipe group that I host.

    I like the taste of Ranch Dressing and think this will be very good.
    Gosh I can't imagine how you submit so many recipes.
    I submitted a couple but enjoy just looking and printing out some I may try or will try.
    I will never ever be able to try all but guess it is more a hobby.
    The recipes you said I believe came from back in the 1800's would surely enjoy looking at.
    Do you have any of those posted and dated as the year 1800?Thanks
