Ingredients
  • I love beans, must be my Southern poor people background.
  • I have this recipe that is simple cheap and very good
  • 3 cans of 303 size kidney beans light ,dark , or mix them.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
  • 1 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine
  • sprinkles of granulated chicken bullion
  • 3 cans water 303 size.
  • a potato masher

Directions
  1. cook all the ingredients (except one can of beans and the chicken bullion) until tender.
  2. might keep eye on water don't let run dry need about a can of water left when cooked.
  3. mash beans about 8 times, you want a nice cream gravy. put in last can of beans and sprinkle in the chicken bullion
  4. don't over salt with the bullion, it is very salty. Serve over rice or a scoop of rice in a bowl of beans.
  5. this recipe looks like the Popeye's Fried Beans, but mine are more tasty and I had this recipe first, so there. ha ha
  6. You can also serve grilled link sausage and toasted French bread with a small salad.
