Crescent Date Sweet Treats

This recipe is from Pillsbury. It is a quick and easy treat, low in fat but big on flavor.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup chopped dates 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 2 Tbsp chopped nuts shopping list
- 8 oz can Pillsbury Crescent dinner rolls shopping list
- Glaze: shopping list
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 2 to 3 tsp milk shopping list
- 1/2 tsp vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven ot 375 degrees.
- Grease cookie sheet .
- In a small saucepan, combine dates sugar, water, and nuts.
- Cook over medium heat for 4 to 6 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and cool.
- Separate dough into 4 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal.
- Place two rectangles on prepared cookie sheet; spread each with about 1/3 cup date mixture.
- Place two remaining rectangles over date mixture; do not seal edges.
- Cut each filled rectangle crosswise into 5 slices; do not separate.
- Bake at for 9 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
- If necessary cut strips with knife to separate.
- Remove from cookie sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine all glaze ingredients until smooth; drizzle over warm strips.
