Tongan Lau Laus Recipe
This is a recipe I got from an fb friend. I tried it one time and it was BROKE DA MOUT ONO!!!

Ingredients
  • 3-4 lbs cornedbeef brisket
  • 2 large bunches collard greens
  • 1 large white onion
  • 2 cans coconut milk
  • sea salt to taste

Directions
  1. Cut spines from collard greens but do not cut all the way thru
  2. Rinse leaves
  3. Cut brisket into 4" long by 2 1/2" thick pieces
  4. Chop onion real fine
  5. Soak meat and onions in coconut milk for at least 6 hours
  6. Wrap meat and onions in leaf starting from the bottom of the leaf and roll like a burrito completely sealing the meat
  7. Wrap leaf in tin foil in the same manner
  8. Steam for 3 1/2 to 4 hours

This is a whole new take on corned beef. Thanks for shaking up my comfort zone. I'm fairly sure I've never cooked a Tongan recipe before.
