Sweet Potato Pecan Pie

- 1 pound sweet potatoes cooked and peeled shopping list
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter shopping list
- 14 ounce sweetened condensed milk shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1 teaspoon grated orange rind shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 prepared graham cracker crust shopping list
- pecan Topping: shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 tablespoons dark corn syrup shopping list
- 2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon melted butter shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring shopping list
- 1 cup pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 425 then with mixer beat sweet potatoes and butter until smooth.
- Add condensed milk, cinnamon, orange rind, vanilla, nutmeg, salt and egg and mix well.
- Pour into crust and baker 20 minutes.
- Prepare pecan topping by beating together egg, syrup, sugar, butter and maple flavoring.
- Stir in nuts then spoon topping evenly over pie and bake 25 minutes longer then cool.
- Garnish with orange zest and serve.
