Although we don't eat beef like we used to, my husband still insists sometimes. When he puts the pressure on me, I pull out the old dutch oven and shop my local butcher for some good tips of beef. You may also use cubed beef from the supermarket

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds of beef tips or cubed beef
  • 1 can of beefy mushroom soup (campbells makes this)
  • 1 cup of red wine
  • 1 package of onion soup mix
  • 1 small jar button mushrooms
  • salt and pepper to taste. I go heavy on the black pepper for it goes well with the flavors of this dish.

Directions
  1. Now the easy part!
  2. Just mix the wine, soup, soup mix and mushrooms, pour over the beef tips in your dutch oven, salt and pepper, mix well, and cover. Place into your 300 degree oven, cook for three hours and DO NOT PEEK.
  3. Serve over rice or egg noodles, with green beans, salad, honey-glazed carrots, etc.
  4. Enjoy!
