Home made pumpkin butter, made with fresh pumpkin puree, apple cider, sugar and spices, turns a simple breakfast smoothie into a refreshing autumn treat. You can add a few ice cubes, if desired.

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 banana. frozen and sliced
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tbsp. (or to taste) pumpkin butter*
  • * I used a homemade pumpkin butter - Allrecipes' Pumpkin Butter I, but used my own pumpkin pie spice blend and apple cider in place of the apple juice.

Directions
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for 20 seconds or until desired consistency is achieved.
