Cinnamon Pumpkin Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 oz canned pumpkin or squash
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup soft butter
  • 2 1/2 cup flour, all purpose
  • 1 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tso ground cloves
  • 3 tbs brown sugar, light or dark
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • Filling:
  • 3/4 cup cinnamon filling ( this is from a pkg, or use your own recipe for cinnabum filling ) Pkg filling contains, sugar, butter flavor dry shortening, cinnamon)
  • 1/2 cup crytallized gfinger or dried cranberries, raisins etc
  • Glaze:
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 tbs milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Directions
  1. Mix and knead the dough ingredients into a soft dough
  2. Let rise in a warm place about 1 1/2 hours or almost doubled
  3. Turn it out to a lightly gresed surface and roll out into a 14 x 22 inch rectangle
  4. Mix the cinnamon filling and water ( thick filling ) and spread it over the dough leaving one short edge free of filling
  5. Sprinkle with the crytalized ginger or deired fruit
  6. Starting with short end that is covered roll into a log
  7. Cut log into 9, 1 1/2 inch rolls
  8. Place in a greased bun pan
  9. Let rise covered 1 hour or till puffy
  10. Bake in a preheated 375 oven until rolls are lightly browned about 25 to 30 minutes
  11. Turn out rolls onto a rack
  12. let cool 15 minutes
  13. Make the glaze by heating butter and milk and whisk in sugar when butter melts
  14. Drizzle over rolls
  15. Note: you really don't need to use the pre-packaged cinnamon filling if you have your own bun filling recipe .
