Orange Fruit Bars

- 1-1/2 cups quick uncooked oatmeal shopping list
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1-1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger or nutmeg - it's your choice shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 cup orange juice shopping list
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 egg, lightly beaten shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1-1/2 cup diced dried mixed fruits shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional) shopping list
- 1/4 cup quick oatmeal mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon for topping shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375℉.
- Spray a 13 x 9 inch glass or metal baking pan with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl combine dry ingredients except mixed fruits.
- In another bowl combine wet ingredients.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix well.
- Stir in mixed fruits and chopped walnuts.
- Spread into prepared pan.
- Sprinkle remaining oats mixed with cinnamon on top.
- Bake for 20 to 22 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Do not over bake.
- Cool completely then cut into bars.
