Shrimp in Pernod

- 1-1/2 lbs shrimp,peeled and de-veined shopping list
- 3 Tbs butter shopping list
- 2 Tbs finely chopped shallots shopping list
- 2 Tbs Pernod(anise-flavored liquer) shopping list
- 3/4 c heavy cream shopping list
- salt and fresh ground pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Heat the butter in a skillet and add the shrimp and shallots. cook 3-4 mins shaking and stirring and tossing the shrimp until pink all over. Add the Pernod and stir. Using a slotted spoon,remove shrimp to warm platter.
- Add the cream to the skillet and cook over high heat for about 1 min. Add salt and pepper. Return shrimp to skillet and cook until heated through. Garnish with lengths of chives.
