Shrimp In Pernod Recipe
Delicious shrimp done in an anise flavored cream sauce.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 lbs shrimp,peeled and de-veined
  • 3 Tbs butter
  • 2 Tbs finely chopped shallots
  • 2 Tbs Pernod(anise-flavored liquer)
  • 3/4 c heavy cream
  • salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Heat the butter in a skillet and add the shrimp and shallots. cook 3-4 mins shaking and stirring and tossing the shrimp until pink all over. Add the Pernod and stir. Using a slotted spoon,remove shrimp to warm platter.
  2. Add the cream to the skillet and cook over high heat for about 1 min. Add salt and pepper. Return shrimp to skillet and cook until heated through. Garnish with lengths of chives.
