Tasty Courgette Bake

- 11/2 lbs courgettes, sliced (or about a kilo)(zucchini) shopping list
- 1 packet streaky bacon, chopped shopping list
- 1 medium onion, sliced shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 pint fresh milk shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram shopping list
- 4 ozs cheddar, grated shopping list
How to make it
- Pour a boiling kettle over the sliced courgettes and leave until needed
- Place bacon & onion in pan, cook, stirring until done
- Lightly grease a large ovenproof dish. Place drained courgettes, bacon and onion in the dish.
- Beat together the eggs, milk and herbs. Stir in 75g (3ozs cheese) and pour over courgettes.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake at 180 deg C (350F) Mark 4 for 55 minutes until set. Serve with garlic bread.

I had to look up the definition of a Courgette and this is what I learned: It is the British, and particularly the New Zealand name for zucchinis. People in the UK may refer to courgettes as vegetable marrows. Thanks for the post.
