How to make it

  • Take your food processor and using the sharp blade, chop up the leftovers to the fineness you will need in your new recipe. I used Bread Soup the last time I did this and turned it into Chili.
  • Add it to your new recipe - I made chili and then added the processed leftovers which looked like hamburger in texture.
  • The 3 gallons of chili was gone in 1/2 hour!

This is a great idea, especially for a soup kitchen. Good way to use the leftovers, especially when you don't have quite enough to serve it again. Great idea! ~ Natalie

Coming from a large family where if you were not on time for dinner you did not eat. I too hate to see food go to waist. As a bachelor I had to be creative and have made everything from lasagna omelets to leftover casserole. Funny how making soup never crossed my mind. Thank you for sharing this Idea. Be sure to know that we will use this in the future. You have our High Five!
