Roses Delicious Pea Soup

- 1 pkg dried split peas shopping list
- 6 to 8 cups water shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- ham bone (with some meat) shopping list
- 1/2 large onion, diced shopping list
- 2 carrots, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces shopping list
- 2 celery stalks and leaves, cut into 1/2-inch pieces shopping list
- 1 bayleaf shopping list
- 2 tsp margarine shopping list
- 1/8 tsp pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Wash peas and soak in water overnight.
- Drain peas.
- To a large stock pot, add water, bayleaf, hambone, onion carrots, celery and peas to pan.
- Cover and cook until all is soft, about three hours.
- Puree with an immersion blender.
- Add margarine, pepper, milk and salt, if necessary.
- Heat through.
- Serve with warm Italian bread or garlic bread.
