Nutty Orange Snowballs

These nutty,buttery cookies will melt in your mouth,leaving just a trace of orange flavor. Taste of Home
Ingredients
- 1 c butter,softened shopping list
- 1-1/4 c confectioners sugar,divided shopping list
- 1 tsp grate orange peel shopping list
- 1/2 tsp orange extract shopping list
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 2 c flour shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 c finely chopped walnuts shopping list
- 1/2 c finely chopped hazelnuts shopping list
How to make it
- In large bowl,cream butter,and 3/4 c confectioners sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in orange peel and extracts. Combine flour and salt;gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts.
- Shape into 3/4" balls. Place 1" apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 10-12 mins. or till bottoms are lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
- Place remaining confectioners sugar in a large resealable plastic bag. Add cookies,a few at a time and shake to coat. Stor in airtight container.
