Hot German Potato Salad

- 8 slices bacon shopping list
- 2 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 4 teaspoons white or yellow onion, chopped shopping list
- 1/3 cup vinegar shopping list
- 2/3 cup water shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 4 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- 1 teaspoon powdered mustard shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon crumbled rosemary shopping list
- 2 quarts or 8 cups cooked potatoes, (potatoes may be peeled or not, sliced, and boiled in water until tender to the touch... with a tablespoon of vinegar to keep from going mushy) shopping list
- 1/2 cup parsley, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup arugla shopping list
How to make it
- Fry bacon crisp
- Remove from pan, drain and reserve fat, and crumble bacon
- Set bacon aside
- Put 1/4 cup of bacon fat back in the pan and add the four and onions
- Stir in vinegar, water, sugar, salt ,black pepper, powdered mustard and rosemary
- Cook to medium thickness...don't over cook!
- Add to the cooked and drained potatoes
- Add parsley, arugula, and crumbled bacon
- Toss carefully with a couple of forks to prevent mashing potatoes
