Appalachian Mountian Boiled Coffee Recipe

How to make it

  • Mix coffee, eggshells, and 1 cup of the cold water in a large saucepan.
  • Add the boiling water and continue to boil for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add the other cup of cold water.
  • Let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Strain out the eggshells.
  • Drink up!

    Done in an enameled coffee pot set in a campfire. Fantastic! Coffee doesn't get any better than this.
