Corn and Crab Chowder

- 1 whole sweet onion shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- vegetable stock shopping list
- 2-4 cans crabmeat shopping list
- 2 cans cream corn shopping list
- 1-2 cans whole corn (roasted corn adds another level) shopping list
- half and half shopping list
- Spices: shopping list
- white pepper shopping list
- black pepper shopping list
- kosher salt shopping list
- Old Bay shopping list
- cajun spice shopping list
- cayenne shopping list
How to make it
- Sweat the onions in olive oil until soft.
- Add stock, crab, corn.
- Spice to your taste, I use:
- 1/2 t white pepper
- 1-2 t salt
- 1-3T old bay
- 1/4-1/2 cayenne.
- Cook 30-15 minutes, thicken with a roux and add the half and half (or cream) at the end.
- Goes great with those knock off Red Lobster biscuits
