Oven Caramel Corn Recipe

How to make it

  • pop the corn and sort out the unpopped kernals and set aside
  • Sometimes I make more than the recipe calls for and still have enough coating
  • Combine brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt
  • Boil for 5 minutes - slowly bring to a boil
  • Stir in flavorings and soda
  • Pour IMMEDIATELY over corn and stir
  • Add peanuts just before putting into oven
  • Put in 1 to 2 large sheet pans and place in 250 degree oven for 1 hour
  • Stir about every 15 minutes
  • Cool and keep tightly covered
