Ingredients

1/2 stick butter

4 tbsp flour

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp jalapeno pepper juice

1 tbsp ketchup

1 tsp red pepper

1/2 tsp garlic

1/4 tsp mustard powder

12-14 American cheese slices

2 cups milk

Directions

1) Melt butter and add flour--mix together until paste like

2) Mix all other ingredients with paste mixture (except cheese & milk)

3) Gradually add milk to mixture--careful not to add too much milk at one time or it will get lumpy

4) Microwave for 3 minutes on high

5) Tear 6 slices of cheese into small pieces and stir into mixture

6) Microwave 3-5 minutes until hot --stirring occasionally

7) Add 6 more torn cheese slices

8) Microwave until hot -- stirring occasionally

If mixture is runny add more cheese

**note: this is not a thick consistency cheese dip

For added flavor add ground beef and a touch of cayenne pepper

You can also substitute 8oz velveeta---but we like the American cheese best.

I am not too hot on jalapeno's ,so I'll try worcestershire sauce,or hot pepper sauce in place of jalapeno pepper juice.
