How to make it

  • 1) Melt butter and add flour--mix together until paste like
  • 2) Mix all other ingredients with paste mixture (except cheese & milk)
  • 3) Gradually add milk to mixture--careful not to add too much milk at one time or it will get lumpy
  • 4) Microwave for 3 minutes on high
  • 5) Tear 6 slices of cheese into small pieces and stir into mixture
  • 6) Microwave 3-5 minutes until hot --stirring occasionally
  • 7) Add 6 more torn cheese slices
  • 8) Microwave until hot -- stirring occasionally
  • If mixture is runny add more cheese
  • **note: this is not a thick consistency cheese dip
  • For added flavor add ground beef and a touch of cayenne pepper
  • You can also substitute 8oz velveeta---but we like the American cheese best.
