Ingredients
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp jalapeno pepper juice
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic
  • 1/4 tsp mustard powder
  • 12-14 American cheese slices
  • 2 cups milk

Directions
  1. 1) Melt butter and add flour--mix together until paste like
  2. 2) Mix all other ingredients with paste mixture (except cheese & milk)
  3. 3) Gradually add milk to mixture--careful not to add too much milk at one time or it will get lumpy
  4. 4) Microwave for 3 minutes on high
  5. 5) Tear 6 slices of cheese into small pieces and stir into mixture
  6. 6) Microwave 3-5 minutes until hot --stirring occasionally
  7. 7) Add 6 more torn cheese slices
  8. 8) Microwave until hot -- stirring occasionally
  9. If mixture is runny add more cheese
  10. **note: this is not a thick consistency cheese dip
  11. For added flavor add ground beef and a touch of cayenne pepper
  12. You can also substitute 8oz velveeta---but we like the American cheese best.

I am not too hot on jalapeno's ,so I'll try worcestershire sauce,or hot pepper sauce in place of jalapeno pepper juice.
