How to make it

  • mix meatball ingredients and form onto 3/4" balls but do not cook'. they will be added to stew later
  • bring 4 1/2 cups waater to a boil.
  • add carrots, bullion, bay leaf, thyme, basil, salt and pepper.
  • return to slow boil and cook covered for 10 min.
  • add onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes and add meat balls a few at a time. Return to boil and cook for 15 min or until vegetables are tender and meatballs fully cooked. stir in frozen peas
  • Mix flour and cornstarch into 1/2 cup cold water stir until smooth, add the mixtureto the boiling stewa little at a time until the desired consistency is reachedcook for 1 min and serve. additional salt and pepper to taste.
