Ingredients

2 - #202 (large) cans green peas; drained. shopping list
7 - green onions; chopped. shopping list
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese. shopping list
4 to 5 eggs; hard boiled & chopped coursely. (see my recipe for perfect boiled eggs every time). shopping list
1/4 cup mayonnaise. shopping list
salt & pepper to taste. shopping list
paprika for garnish. shopping list

How to make it

Mix: All ingredients together careful not to over mix.
Sprinkle with Paprika.
Serve cold.

I noticed you said this is an old DeHart family recipe. Being a DeHart descendant myself, I was immediately interested. Indeed with the boiled eggs it seemed to ring a bell from my distant childhood.
It's definitely on this week's menu.

Many of my family recipes are very old and I share them exactly as written. My Aunt Dealie didn't have frozen peas like we do today so she used canned. I don't even know what #202 cans are! I prefer and use the frozen peas too! :) Glad you posted the suggestion, they are always welcome and appreciated.
