How to make it
- In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt and cook to dissolve the sugar.
- Add the cream and simmer stirring, until thickened, about 10 minutes.
- Add the whiskey and vanilla, stand back as it bubbles up, and simmer over heat for 2 more minutes.
- Let cool until foaming subsides and pour into jar. Cool and place in refrigerator where it keeps for 3 months.
