Green Beans with Peppers and Caramelized Onions

- 2 lbs fresh green beans or 1 LARGE bag frozen beans shopping list
- 1 red pepper chopped or sliced shopping list
- 1 green pepper Chopped or sliced shopping list
- 1 yellow pepper Chopped or sliced shopping list
- 2 medium size onions sliced thin shopping list
- 1/2 stick of butter shopping list
- 2 tbsp olilve oil shopping list
- Dash of dill and thyme shopping list
- salt & pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Snip off end of green beans
- Place in saucepan and cook about 10 minutes in salted water
- Drain well
- In frying pan, melt butter
- Add onion and over medium heat cook
- About 10 minutes later, add chopped peppers
- Continue cooking until onions are soft and browned and peppers are tender
- Drizzle olive oil over top
- Add to green beans (drained) back in saucepan
- Heat thru until all flavors are mixed
- Add all seasoning now and simmer 5 minutes
- Note: if too dry, drizzle with a little more olive oil
