- 2 cups white sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown corn syrup shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 2 egg whites shopping list
- 1 teaspoon black walnut flavoring shopping list
- 1 cup walnuts shopping list
How to make it
- Note: as I watched this I beleive she said the sugar should get to the hard ball stage , suggest you may want to use a candy thermometer!
- DIRECTIONS
- Boil sugar, syrup and water unit it spins a thread 3 inches long.
- Beat the egg whites, just before they get stiff
- Pour syrup mixture slowly over beaten egg whites, beating fast so syrup does not harden.
- When you hold up a spoon and it pours slowly and is not shiny, quickly add flavoring and nuts and drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper.
- let cool
