Ingredients

How to make it

  • 9inch round baking tin (if using a pan with a removable bottom grease it if it is not removable then line with foil leaving overhang on 2 sides) or I used a biscuit tray and shaped my dough.
  • In a bowl combine melted butter, sugar, salt and vanilla.
  • Add flour and mix until incorporated.
  • Pat and spread dough evenly through pan
  • leave to rest for at least 2 hours or over night. (no need to refridgerate)
  • Bake at 150C for 45 minutes
  • remove from oven leave oven on and sprinkle with sugar,
  • cool for 10 minutes. Cut into wedges or squares and remove from pan and place on biscuit tray, return to oven and bake for a further 15 mins
  • (note my first one fell apart when I did this step so I made the next one on a biscuit tray from the start, it wasn't shaped as well but I lost less).
