Brook Trout With Brown Butter and Pecans

- 2 tablespoons cooking oil shopping list
- 8 trout fillets shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 4 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 250
- Cover baking sheet with paper towels
- In large nonstick skillet heat 1 tablespoon of the oil over moderate heat
- Sprinkle fish with salt. and pepper
- Put half the trout in the pan and cook for 2 minutes
- Turn and cook for 2 minutes longer
- Transfer cooked fillets to prepared baking sheet and keep warm in the oven
- Add remaining oil to the pan then cook remaining trout fillets and add to baking sheet
- Wipe out the skillet and melt butter over low heat
- Add sage and pecans and cook stirring constantly for 5 minutes
- Stir in the parsley then serve trout with butter sauce spooned over the top
