Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Grease a 9-inch square glass pan
  • Cut bread into 1/2 to 1 inch cubes
  • Combine eggs, milk, sugar,allspice, vanilla and salt in a large mixing bowl
  • Whisk until well blended
  • Gently stir in walnuts, raisins and chopped fruit
  • Fold in bread cubes until most of the liquid has been absorbed
  • Spoon into prepared pan
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, until top is browned and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
  • To serve, cut warm bread pudding into squares and drizzle with Spiced Tapioca Glaze
  • NOTE: To make glaze, whisk together 1 cup tapioca pudding (homemade, from a mix or purchased), 2 cups heavy cream and 1 teaspoon ground allspice.

    Thanx! The glaze is what caught my eye, so I'm adding it to my breakfast recipe collection. Great recipe for guests so we won't be forced to eat it all (there is a duty to dispense with such things, you know!)
