How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Cream sugar and butter, add the 2 eggs and avocado and mix well.
  • Add the baking soda to the buttermilk and add to the batter.
  • Add spices to flour and add to the batter all at once and mix well.
  • Dust the raisins and walnuts lightly with flour and add to the butter
  • Pour into well-greased Pyrex pan (8" x 10") and bake for 35-40 minutes. (This can be stored or frozen.
  • Serve with a lemon sauce.
  • Lemon Sauce:
  • Boil until clear and serve warm over cake.
