Ingredients

How to make it

  • Season the pork with salt and pepper and Cholula and brown it really well. Put it in the crockpot. Cook the onions and garlic and add to the crockpot. Deglaze the pan with about a cup of water and add the liquid. I strained mine first. Add everything else. I cook it on low for about 9 or 10 hours.
  • Adjust it the way you like! I’m always adding a little more of this and a little more of that. I always save some fresh cilantro for adding at the very end. I garnish with queso fresco cheese.
  • *Cholula spice is in the Mexican section of your grocery store.

Large size is the 7 oz can. I've never seen frozen chiles but I would love to find them! Fresh poblanos are even better if you have time to roast and peel and chop them...but it's much more time consuming... which defeats my purpose of the crock pot.

Sounds almost too good. I will make over the weekend, but I know it will be delicious. Thanks,

Different combo of ingredients. Sounds good. What size is large on the chopped green chiles -- ounces or cups please. I usually use fresh or frozen.
