How to make it

  • Cake:
  • Place the chocolate, sugar and butter into a bowl then pour the hot coffee over the top and whisk ingredients until the chocolate is melted and the sugar dissolved.
  • Beat the eggs into the chocolate mixture one by one until thoroughly mixed.
  • Gradually add the remaining sifted ingredients until thoroughly mixed.
  • Pour mixture evenly into 2 greased and lined 22cm springform tins and bake at 140 degrees celcius
  • Icing:
  • Mix the icing ingredients together and microwave on high for 1 minute until runny
  • Pour icing over cake and leave to set
  • Berry Sauce:
  • Place the berries and sugar into a saucepan and cook on low until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Stir in the cornflour until sauce has thickened.
  • Serve cake warm or cold with cream and drizzle berry sauce over the top....YUM

    I have similar recipe of this one but I use chocolate fudge sauce instead but berry sauce might be better so i will try this for sure. High 5.

    I have also made one cake out of the recipe but it takes about 4 hours to bake!

    If you don't have an espresso machine just play around with instant coffee. Just as long as you have the same amount of liquid in the end.
