Butterscotch Chewy Cake

Found this recipe in my moms collection.
Ingredients
- 4 medium eggs shopping list
- 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoon double acting baking powder shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and lightly flour a 13x9 inch pan.
- Beat eggs with beater in top of a double boiler just until blended.
- Blend in brown sugar and butter. Place over rapidly boiling water, stirring constantly, just until hot. About 5 mins. Remove from heat.
- Sift together flour and baking powder. Add all into mixture and mix until well blended.
- Stir in nuts and vanilla.
- Turn into pan and bake for 25-30 mins.
