Waldorf Astoria Fudge Cake Recipe

How to make it

  • CAKE:
  • cream shortening and sugar.
  • add chocolate and eggs.
  • Alternately with milk,add dry ingredients.
  • add vanilla.
  • Mix in nuts by hand.
  • Pour into greased and floured tube or bundt pan.
  • BAKE: 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Fudge Frosting:
  • Mix sugar,cornstarch,milk,and chocolate.
  • Cook until thickened.
  • Add butter and vanilla.
  • Cool and ice cake.

    I have been to the Waldorf Astoria and now I can say that I have one of it's famous recipes. I'm so glad you posted it and it's a definite HIGH 5.
