How to make it

  • Place brussels sprouts, butter, 1 clove garlic (pressed) in pan, add enough water to float the brussels sprouts, cook until most water is gone and brussels sprouts start to carmelize, remove from heat, drain, set aside on paper towels in bowl
  • Combine ground meat, egg, onion, 2 cloves garlic (minced), oregano, parsley, basil, salt & pepper in bowl, mix well
  • Form meat around each brussels sprout 1/2 - 3/4" thick, pack tightly to form meatball
  • Place in baking dish and cover with sauce, bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes, top with mozzarella cheese, return to oven untill cheese is melted.
  • Serve on rice or pasta

This sounds so delicious. I never ate brussel sprouts until just a few years ago. I have tried to be inventive in preparing them but this is going to be the way I prepare them next. Thanks.
