A great tasting bar cookie that's a blast from the past. They use to serve these in the school lunch program when I was in school.

Ingredients
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. quick oats
  • 1 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions
  1. Mix in order given. Press onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 20-25
  2. minutes at 350 degrees. Cool slightly, then cut. Put in airtight
  3. container. Bars tend to dry out if left uncovered.
