How to make it

  • Bring sugar and water to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. In a blender, puree strawberries and sugar syrup and transfer to a bowl; stir in mint. Chill mixture, covered, at least one hour or up to 24 hours. When serving, pour sauce through a sieve into a bowl. Serve over a mousse, custard or ice cream. Yields: Two cups.
