Simple Chocolate Mousse

- 1-1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips (8oz) shopping list
- salt shopping list
- 1-1/2 c heavy whipping cream shopping list
- 1-1/2 Tbs confectioners sugar (or to taste) shopping list
How to make it
- Chill a large bowl with a whisk in freezer for about 10 mins.
- In top of double boiler over simmering water,stir the chocolate chips until just melted,about 4 mins.
- Add a pinch of salt. Meanwhile,whip the heavy cream and confectioners sugar till the cream holds it's shape. Remove the chocolate from the heat and using a rubber spatula,fold half of the cream into the chocolate,incorporating it completely.
- Quickly fold the remaining cream into the chocolate. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and serve at once.

Fantastic recipe! I made this once and spread most of it between the layers of a dark chocolate cake. The rest, I ate straight from the bowl. Good stuff!
