Beefy Tomato Pasta Soup

- 1 pound ground beef shopping list
- 2 medium green peppers, cut into 1 inch pieces shopping list
- 1 medium onion,cut into chunks shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 5 cups water shopping list
- 2 (14.4 oz) cans diced Italian tomatoes, undrained shopping list
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste shopping list
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar shopping list
- 2 teaspoons italian seasoning shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 2 cups uncooked spiral pasta shopping list
- croutons shopping list
How to make it
- In a dutch oven or soup kettle, cook beef, green peppers, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain
- Add the water, tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar and seasonings
- Bring to a boil
- Add pasta and cook for 10-14 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally
- Serve with croutons, if desired
