How to make it

  • In a dutch oven or soup kettle, cook beef, green peppers, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain
  • Add the water, tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar and seasonings
  • Bring to a boil
  • Add pasta and cook for 10-14 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally
  • Serve with croutons, if desired

    John: I do not eat anything ground but I will give this soup a shot with cubed beef. Of course I will have to cook it for a couple of hours so I may have to add a little more liquid.

    This sounds great! Thanks for sharing. On my list to try (minus the sugar. I think I'm the only person in America that doesn't put sugar in my tomatoey recipes! lol). Sounds like something we would love. Can't wait to try it.
