Anzac Biscuits

- 1 cup rolled oats shopping list
- 1 cup plain flour shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup coconut shopping list
- 125g butter shopping list
- 2 tbsp golden syrup shopping list
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda shopping list
- 2 tbsp boiling water shopping list
How to make it
- Combine oats, sifted flour, sugar and coconut.
- Combine butter and golden syrup stir over gentle heat until melted.
- Mix soda with boiling water, add to melted butter mixture, stir into dry ingredients.
- Take teaspoonfuls of mixture and place on a lightly greased oven trays, allow room for spreading.
- Cook in slow oven for 20 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Take them out of oven if you wish but leave them on the tray so their still cooking a bit. This will make the biscuits nice and soft.
- Makes about 35.
