How to make it

  • Separate the eggs and beat egg whites until stiff.
  • Beat egg yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar, and blend in flour and baking powder gradually.
  • Gently blend in egg whites
  • Grease an oblong baking pan well
  • Place on the batter
  • Equally spread on the drained oranges
  • Bake in 175C oven about 25 to 30 minutes or tested done
  • Then pour the reserved liquid over the warm cake
  • Serve warm or room temp or chilled with a dollop of whipped cream
