Beer Soaked Beans

- 1/2 pound sliced bacon shopping list
- 1 white onion chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic finely chopped shopping list
- 2 jalapeno peppers seeded and finely chopped shopping list
- 1 pound pinto beans soaked overnight and boiled until tender shopping list
- 24 ounces beer shopping list
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Fry bacon until crisp then drain on paper towels crumble and set aside.
- Reserve 2 tablespoons of the bacon fat and heat it in a large pot over moderate heat.
- Sauté onion, garlic and jalapenos until tender but not brown about 5 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer until heated through.
- Top with crumbled bacon and serve hot.
